Colorado Sunset In Buena Vista, CO (Photos - August 20, 2009)
 |
I have seen better sunsets over the
Sawatch Mountains in central Colorado,
but I was riding my bike
for some evening exercise and had my digital camera with me.
The first thing that caught my eye were the colorful pink and peachy clouds hovering over
Mt. Princeton,
a mountain that stands prominently to the west of Buena Vista, Colorado. |
 |
Looking toward the east, enough pink and lavendar shades
existed to deem it worthy of my camera's attention. You've got
to love the wide open spaces of the western states. Most areas have modest amounts
of pink and purple in their sunsets regularly, but how often can
the average person see them?

 |
Facing west toward the mountains, a large strand of a cloud brightened up ... |
 |
... and it lit up the sky once it turned a vibrant pink! |
 |
Another pretty shot over the mountains. |

It was a very pretty Colorado sunset all right. Near the end, I snapped
this dorky photo with myself included using the camera's timer. I immediately
tweeted it on my Twitter profile. :)
